I learned how to give quality customer service and gain the customers trust. In order to build store credibility, as a manager,  there needs to be customer relationships by giving them knowledge about products and making them feel comfortable with you, as a manager, and with the skate shop itself.
   Applied
This helped me answer my EQ because by building customer relationships and creating credibility for the skate shop brings back customers and new customers and it's an important factor to making a skate shop successful.

Independent Component 2

Literal
(a) I, Kevin Salazar, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.
(b) In my independent component I was allowed to help out with servicing the customers who come to Kore skate shop on the weekends.
Interpretive
In my 38 hours of my Independent Component I was able to get the feel of pressure because during the week Kore skate shop only gets 2-3 customers at the same time but during the weekend we have about 5-6 customers come at a time so this gave me experience on how to react to the pressure.
Applied
This experience helped me with learning how to treat each customer in order to show them they are important to the skate shop. The most important part to do with a customer is understand them before you try selling to them because all customers are different some have less knowledge in brands and others are easier because they know what they are purchasing. This helped me understand how to explain the product to the customer in a way to let them know that Kore carries good products.

RC 15

The importance to managing a business is having prior knowledge in the business or Econ aspect of it because if you do not understand either of these concepts then managing the business gets that much difficult.
The most important thing to really gain success for the skate shop is learn all of the aspects of advertising and product placement.
Getting the word out about your shop makes more people visit the shop and if your shop is well maintained then you will be making sales thus making profit.
As of today most people in the business industry have gained lots of experience in making sales and knowing how to treat customers so that they buy from the store and keep them coming back.
Most of the factors that a manager should have precautions about is maintaining a well lite clean environment for the customer.
This prevents any injuries or lawsuits that can ruin the flow of the shop.

Answer #3

EQ = what is most important to managing a successful skate shop?

Answer 3 = One of the most important factor to reaching success is building a community feel, or a foundation for your skate shop to build upon.

Evidence = A skate shop is like building a house you need to have a strong foundation in order to succeed with any future plans you have for the shop. Building the community feel for the skates shop. Without a strong foundation the shop would not last against stronger franchise stores. Kore skate shop has come a long way to reaching success and having a foundation has only made the changes affect it in a positive way. If you do not have any prior knowledge in business and you make a bad decision it could end the dream with failure.

Production and Wages I
Production is a fixed thing. It is not a constant but a variable of magnitude. National production changes constantly. If wages were to go up the amount of production would drop. Capitol productivity Is any change in wages to affect productivity. Weston's theory is that capitalists want to have it all

Research Check 13

One concern people have when starting a business is how much taxes are going to be paid annually. The main questions asked are how do I register for tax? What income do pay tax on? How do I meet my pay and file obligation? How do I deduct PAYE from my employee? What rate is VAT charged at? What records do I need to keep?
How can revenue help you is one of the basic questions asked throughout the business industry while nobody likes paying taxes this guide helps you overcome it.
When starting a business you should advise revenue and fill out a form which is on the website, www.revenue.ie, to find the most effective way for you as a revenue customer to deal with your tax affairs. Once registered you will receive a first time "new business visit from the revenue official. They only vist to make sure that you comply with the obligatory tax rate.
As a business owner you are obligated to pay taxes annually.
In order to employ someone you need to register as an employer for PAYE/PRSI.

Answer 2

EQ = What is most important to managing a successful skate shop?

Answer 2 = Being able to keep the store presentable and prevent anything from happening like injuries to customers or employees.

Evidence = Keeping your store presentable means having good sanitation and cleaning objects on the floor that may cause injury to others. The most important thing is to keep your business running and how else to do that but to prevent anything from happening.
People get injured at stores because their focus is on products and not their surroundings and if they do not pay close attention they can get hurt, and who is to blame? Well most people will feel that its the business's responsibility to display a nice clean environment for the public and if it is not then that's when the lawsuits come in.
If the business gets a lawsuit the most common thing that happens is that the business gets sued and looses money for their mistake. If the business looses money the competition gains strength.

Blog 18: The Product

As of March, My product is improving my product placement skills with new products and learning how to advertise a new product and give it the proper attention that it needs. My product will help me build on prior knowledge and help me .

At my service learning, Kore Skate Shop in Montclair, I have earned my service learner Kevin Nahani's trust and he allows me to display new releases and takes my advice into consideration. The picture above is the new consignments that Kore will be having and I made sure to give the proper attention so that customers would buy thus benefit the skate shops revenue.

The importance of product placement is to attract the customers attention and make them more interested in buying whats new. Here are some of Kore's product placement examples at my service learning.

As you can see this is a unique way to display all of the hats and make sure to present the newer hats at the customers eye level.

In this picture it shows how the store puts out the shoes on sale in front of the better shoes located behind them because they want to get rid of the older shoes.

In this picture this manikin is displayed with a new arrival, the sweater, the product display is different compared to others and gives the store the upper hand for originality.

Kevin Nahani and I displayed the newer shoes in a glass case in front of the store and made sure that the display was eye catching. So far customers always seem to ask questions about the product when they are displayed in such manner.

Learning this skill will help me understand how to make sales only through learning how to display in a way that customers will be intrigued to buy it.

Independent component 1

Literal
I, Kevin Salazar, affirm that i completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.
I worked at a place called rated athletics were they design and print shirts. I learned the different types of printing along with some things in design.
Interpretive
Im having the guy i worked with sign off a justification form to prove that i did the 30 hours with him. And i will be posting a calendar showing the days i went.
Applied
This helped with my EQ because i learned some design and printing techniques and a lot of successful skate shops like active, kings, and even kore have there own shirts and sweaters. This would help to make a skate shop more successful  because it would give them more money and more income apart from the stuff there selling. Thats Why i think some skate shops like active are so successful.
