Self Reflection

(1) How do you think you are doing so far in your senior project and why?
P because I have been profficient in what has been asked from the senior team, I have provided a reliable service learning and have been attending the skateshop after school and have learned a lot more about maintaining the skate shop and why we need to present a clean environment to the customer and let them know we are there to help them.
(2) What one thing do you think you have done well on and why?
I have done well in the service learning part i have learned a lot of things that make a shop successful. One of the skills I have learned while attending the shop is how to approach a customer and to make sure you clarify any confusion they may have.
(3) What is one thing you would like to improve on and why?
I would like to improve on becoming a better salesman and being able to sell more than is expected by the shop.

Science Fair Proposal

1. What is your hypothesis?
If a skateboard has medium (50-60 cm in diameter) hard (97-105%) wheels, then it will perform better than if it has other types of wheels.

2. Identify the dependent (produced), independent (manipulated) and control variables in your hypothesis.
My dependent variable is the time made with the wheel after the wheel travels down the ramp.
My independent variable is the wheels width, pattern on grip, and diameter.
My controlled vairable is wheels i use on the runs.

3. What is the connection between your science fair project and your senior project EQ?
The connection between my science fair project and my EQ are that in order to manage a successful skate shop i need to understand which products are best quality to hold in a skate shop for the customers.

4. How will you perform the experiment?  Include the equipment you plan on using.
I will obtain a small platform with a certain degree incline and have a handle that will ride the wheel down the incline and i will have a variety of wheels with different variables like diameter, width, and grip. I will have a timer on the different runs with different wheels and in the end i will use the times to differ all wheels. I will graph the data and then figure out WHY that wheel is better than the rest.

5. Which category will your project be listed under?  (For a full list of categories, go to the iPoly Physics webpage, then to the Science Fair tab.)
My project will be categorized in the Physics list.

What I've Learned So Far

1) What have you learned how to do since you started working on your senior project?
Since working on my senior project I have learned how having good business skills, like learning how to advertise and use possible sources like Facebook to get products or business' known.

2) Post evidence of this accomplishment.  It can be in the form of a picture, video, document, etc..

http://www.facebook.com/undefinedclothing

3) What research helped you to do this and how?*
An article online showed me the importance of using all possible sources to advertise. One source used that is free is Facebook.

*What research = "Clothing Line Promotion: Marketing and Product Placement." How To Start A Clothing Line — Advice For Planning Your Clothing Brand. Web. 01 Sept. 2011. <http://www.clothinglinehelp.com/clothing-line-promotion-and-marketing.html>

*How = The fact that the article shows the people how to advertise without spending money helped out in the sense of clearing up the myth that its impossible to advertise for free.
